Negretti & Zambra (now N&Z Instrumentation & Control) started out in 1850 hand-crafting magnificent meteorological brass sextants, barometers and thermometers.  The Head Office was in London with branches in South Africa, Australia and Belgium.

The South African branch became fully South African owned in 1981 with offices in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.  We represent a number of leading manufacturers worldwide and can therefore supply your measurement, process control, telemetry, analytical and control requirements.

We focus on flow, pressure, temperature, level, analytical, data loggers, telemetry, automation, flow surveys and control.  We supply full support including engineering, specification, supply, installation, commissioning, service and repairs.

We service all major industries and utilities including water, mining, power, food, agricultural, pulp & paper, Petrochem, manufacturing industries, process industries, environment, construction, building management and mineral & metal refining & processing.

With the current focus on water distribution and conservation we are providing specialist solutions to the water industry.  These include battery powered magnetic flow meters, AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) and equipment and services for Blue Drop, Green Drop and No Drop.
